Ron Robin, where are you?

That's OK...I know where Ron Robin is. Out on the Cape busy with his restaurant. However, this is the title of an article by Jimmy Del Ponte with his memories of his awakening to pop music (with a transistor radio in the 60's.)

You might find his memories amusing.

Update on Severin, WXKS, WTKK and an editorial

Since Jay Severin reappeared on the Boston radio dial on WXKS - Talk1200, fellow talker WTKK didn't waste any time making changes to it's lineup, moving Michael Graham to afternoon-drive.

Michael Graham to go up against Jay Severin

Also, don't miss this Globe editorial dissing Jay's return to the airwaves. (Jay will probably wear this as a badge of honor!)

Globe's Alex Beam and WILD......

The Globe's Alex Beam has been listening to Radio One's WILD...and, more specifically, to their paid programming from China Radio International (CRI).

My WILD Summer

Whiling away hazy, lazy days listening to broadcasts of China Radio International on a local AM station

[Note: Beam doesn't realize that WILD is a daytimer, a station that must sign off after sunset. He has been hearing WBAL in Baltimore booming in after sunset, and mistakenly believes it is being re-broadcast by WILD here in Boston.)
