WCOZ was kick-ass Rock and Roll....!

The description of this video says 1982...but I think it is earlier than that.

By 1982, 94.5 was into their AC incarnation...followed by their flip to "The Zoo" WZOU.

The first WCOZ staff included George Taylor Morris (PD), Mark Parenteau, Capt. Ken Shelton & Jerry Goodwin (The Duke of Madness). The latter three all ended up at WBCN.
great stuff!
I was in college when the rock died at WCOZ. That was late 1983 or early 1984. I couldn't believe that Carla Leonardo was talking up Lionel Richie's "Stuck on You" or Jeremy Savage playing "To All The Girls I've Loved Before"... but they were!
Anyway, if I'm correct on the years, then this spot really could be from 1982.
AS an orginal WAAF "Rock and Roll Air Force member", I can truely say WCOZ was "KICK ASS ROK AND ROLL"!!!!!!!!!!
Why did WCOZ change its format that was very successful?
