Sara Underwood dances her way off WBZ & TV38...

You may have heard that Sara Underwood has left the building at 1170 Soldiers Field Road. But before she left, someone there put together these out-takes....

It made me love her even more!

How the mighty have fallen......

From Thursday's Inside Track....

http://bostonherald.com/track/inside_track/

"WBZ-TV (Ch. 4), which laid off more than 30 employees at the end of March, has asked department heads to ask their staff members to volunteer to answer the phophne at the front desk. 'The person who holds the front desk position is out on disability so every department has been asked to help out with coverage,' said station spokewoman Ro Dooley Webster."

WBZ can't afford a temp?

Should we be surprised to call the main number and hear Bob Lobel or Jack Williams answering the phone? "How may I direct your call?"

Also, Scott Wahle and Joyce Kulhawik will have their last on-air appearances on May 30th.

Barry Burbank marks 30 years at WBZ....

It almost slipped by unnoticed, but...

Bary Burbank celebrates 30 Years at WBZ

Cute video. Mish Michaels takes us back to the days when meteorologist wrote with a big black marker on their maps!

(Now why they don't use their TV meteorologists on the radio side baffles me...)

There's a bio for Barry....here.

New WGBH Morning Show.....

WGBH Radio is adding a new show "The Takeaway" to complement Morning Edition.

John Hockenberry, (an alum from NPR and MSNBC) will host along with Adaora Udoji.

The show will be syndicated out to other public radio stations through PRI.

Here's the Globe's Clea Simon's article:

Hockenberry to cohost WGBH news show

"The Takeaway," will favor live reporting and discussion from around the world over prerecorded and produced segments. "Our liveness makes us far more nimble than the competition," says John Hockenberry, who will cohost the show with Adaora Udoji.

Nimble? That's what I always like in a radio show...nimbleness.... ;-)
